    3. The Independence Daily Reporter Montgomery County Tuesday July 27, 1937 Services Held For Camdon L. Bloom. Last rites for Camdon L. BLOOM, early oil and gas operator in the Mid-Continent fields, who died here early Sunday morning, were held at 10 o'clock this morning form the Potts chapel. The Rev. Royal Humbert of the First Christian church had charge of the rites. Interment was in the old Catholic cemetery, northeast of the city, beside the grave of his wife, who passed away in 1929. Active pallbearers were: William Hasselmann, A.W> Dorhen, Art Shaffer, Sam Varner, Bert Stevens and Dr. E.H. Danforth.

A heart attack was the cause of death, which occurred in a Winfield hospital Sunday. The Croll family formerly resided in Neodesha.

    3. The Independence Daily Reporter Montgomery County Monday July 26, 1937 Rites for Rev. Miller. Funeral services for Rev. W.H. MILLER, former pastor of the Church of the Brethren here, who passed away at the home of his sister in Erie early Saturdy morning, were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Church of the Brethren. The Rev. Raymond R. Peters officiated at the rites. Burial was in Mount Hope cemetery in charge of an Erie funeral home.

    3. The Independence Daily Reporter Montgomery County Monday July 26, 1937 Death Takes Pearl Johnson. Dies at Brother's Home After 10 Weeks' Illness. Miss Pearl E. JOHNSON, 60, passed away at 12:45 this afternoon at the home of her brother, E.H. Johnson, 1300 West Myrtle, after an illness of ten weeks. Death was due to a cancer. Miss Johnson was born March 2, 1877 and came to Independence with her parents in 1883. She had since resided on the family homestead. Surviving are two sisters, Laura DAVIS of Gate, Okla. and Anna MACY of Independence; five brothers, H.H. Johnson, E.H. Johnson and A.H. Johnson, all of Independence, M.L. Johnson of Mutual, Okla., and W.W. Johnson of Pampa, Tex. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday afternoon at the Amos-Rodrick Funeral home with Rev. Hodge of Altoona officiating.

Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon and burial will be in the Chautauqua cemetery.

WADMAN, former Independence resident. Hooper died Saturday at the Wadman home after suffering a paralytic stroke. He was a retired United Brethren pastor and formerly lived at Coffeyville and Caney. Mrs. Earl OVERFIELD of Norwata and Mrs. Lester BROWN of Coffeyville are granddaughtes of the deceased.
