Regarding the MILLETT family of Montgomery County Kansas. I looked at a Cemetery Records Book (Part 1) and only found one listing for that surname. Mr. and Mrs. A G MILLETT (her name was Minnie) are buried in Robbins Cemetery in Montgomery County Kansas. I think Robbins Cemetery is near Coffeyville Kansas. A G's dates were given as 1860-1926 while Minnie's was 22 March 1862 to 6 Oct 1897. These are not the first names you asked for, but, they were the only ones I found. I hope it helps. Sue

GC-Gateway, I'm curious. Did your Millet family ever live in southwestern Ohio? This is a "famous" local name in Darke and Shelby Counties. I'm not researching the family but they figure into my French / Swiss ancestry ... just haven't entered all the data I have. I subscribed to the KSMONTGO list because I'm looking for information about John Smith (Schmitt), son of an emigrant from Lacollonge, Belfort, France and his wife, Felicia Louise "Louise" Echemann, daughter of an emigrant from Vellerat, Jura Canton, Switzerland. John and Louise were born in Ohio and moved to Montgomery CO, KS about 1881 ... about the time you are researching your Millet family. I've always been curious ... about why they moved to Kansas. It is highly likely that they knew Millet family members ... they belonged to adjacent parishes in Ohio. The following may help with your Millet family: According to another person's research, Louise Echemann Smith was buried in the "Catholic Cemetery" in Neodesha, Wilson Co., KS. Based on old memory cells, the cemetery may be called Calvary or Mt. Calvary. Write again if you want to explore.
