The Independence Daily Reporter Montgomery County Monday September 13, 1937 Henry Muenzenmayer. Henry MUENZENMAYER of Junction City, father of George BROWN of Fort Lewis, Wash., died suddenly Saturday at his home, according to word received here by Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Brown. Muenzenmayer had visited in the Brown home on several occasions and was known to a large number of Independence residents.

The Independendence Daily Reporter Montgomery County Saturday September 11, 1937 Collins Rites Held. Funeral services for Thomas COLLINS, pioneer Montgomery county farmer, who died in Mercy hospital Friday afternoon, were held at nine o'clock this morning from the St. Andrews church. The Reverend Father M.J. Casey officiated at the rites. Burial was in St. Andrews cemetery, east of the city, under the direction of the Potts funeral home.
The Independence Daily Reporter Montgomery County Saturday September 11, 1937 Mrs. C.V. Eckhardt. Mrs. George W. ECKHARDT of Coffeyville has received word of the death of Mrs. C.V. ECKHARDT, 85, mother of the late George W. Eckhardt, at her home in Lakin Thursday night. She was a former Coffeyville resident. The husband and two sons survive.

The Independence Daily Reporter Montgomery County Friday September 10, 1937 Ruby May Jackman Dies at Wichita. Ruby May JACKMAN, six-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Jackman, died in a Wichita osteopathic hospital today after a short illness. Death was caused by loss of blood due to excessive hemorrhages following an attack of whooping cough. The body is being brought here by a Potts hearse today. Both Mr. and Mrs. Jackman were in Wichita when death came.

Announcements have been received here of the marriage of Miss Marcella METCALF, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Grover C. Metcalf, and Mr. Franklin FOOSHEE, both of Hooker, Okla., which took place last Monday. Mr and Mrs. Fooshee are to make their home in Conrad, Montana. The bride formerly attended Junior college in this city and made her home with her aunt, Mrs. C.A. TIPTON and Mr. Tipton.

The Independence Daily Reporter Mongtomery County Friday September 10, 1937 W.H. Moberly. Funeral services for William E. MOBERLY, 51, a Coffeyville grocer 15 years, were held this afternoon. Burial was made in the Mound Valley cemetery. The wife and a daughter, Miss Marguerite Moberly survive.

Private funeral services were held last night for Mrs. Ellen Joslin ROTHROCK, 75, mother of Fred Rothrock of Coffeyville, who died Thursday morning at her son's home. She was a native of England. Another son, Harry Rothrock of Los Angeles, survives.

He was a native of Missouri. The wife, five daughters, and three sons survive. Funeral arrangements are pending.
