    3. The Independence Daily Reporter Montgomery County Saturday October 16, 1937 Burial Here Sunday For Mrs. Clarence Ray. Funeral services for Mrs. Clarence L. RAY, 63, former Independence resident, who died yesterday afternoon in Neodesha will be held at 2:30 Sunday afternoon at the Methodist church in Neodesha. Burial will be in Mount Hope cemetery in Independence. Mrs. Ray, sister of Mrs. James M. SCOTT, and Mrs. C.D. KEIFER of this city, attended school here before her marriage to Clarence Ray. She will be remembered here at Miss Jose STARR. The order of the Eastern Star will hold services at the grave.

    3. The Independence Daily Reporter Montgomery County Friday October 15, 1937 Mrs. Mary Hines. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon for Mrs. Mary Adina HINES, widow of Frank O. Hines, who died Thursday at the Wilson county hospital. Heart complications were gives as the cause of death. Burial will be made in the the Neodesha cemetery. Two daughters and a son survive.

Book I page 404, record 804 on 8 Nov 1900. John E Gorden 26, of Wichita KS and Ida A Miller 20, Cherryvale, KS. Book E page 212, record 154 on 11 Sept 1887. I found no Perline Miller; there was a Pearl Miller in a later time period, but she was from Indian Territory, not Kansas. Carl C Brothers 23, and Sarah E Miller 19, both of Cherryvale, KS. Book F pg 263, record 1076 on 11 Feb 1891. Fannie (George Woodland abt 1898), Not found Attie, There is an Addie Miller 25, and Lewis Chance both of Coffeyville, KS married on 23 Dec 1890. The wife survives.

    3. The Independence Daily Reporter Montgomery County Monday October 11, 1937 Arthur P. Sanders Dies Early Sunday Morning. Arthur P. SANDERS, 68, farmer, residing southeast of Independence for 25 years, died at 6:15 Sunday morning at Mercy hospital where he had been confined since Sept. 30. He is survived by five children, but has no relatives in this vicinity. Other details are lacking, pending the arrival of relatives. The body is in the Jackson Funeral home pending arrangements.
