    3. Jim Laird or anyone in Montgomery Co. I need a help with a marriage lookup. In putting together some documentation I noticed that I had failed to get a record of my parents marriage which took place in Coffeyville, Montgomery, KS. I believe this would have been in 1947 or 1948. The marriage would have been between: William J. Jones and Joyce E. Ramsey I would appreciate any help in this matter. Am trying to put together documentation for an SAR application and need the date of the marriage. Thanks, Bill Jones Winfield, KS Jim Laird wrote: > The Independence Daily Reporter > Thursday > October 7, 1937 > > Last Rites Held. > Last rites for Nils P. Some records I have show that another sister is Jennie Millett and also that Sadie married John Bell Zink on 2-23-1898. I never put the Zink connection together - I thought the name on the 1880 census was Quik...hard to read. thanks for the info - makes so much more sense now. If it can all be accomplished by e-mail, it may cost anything from 0 to $5. You can write to Montgomery County Genealogical Society, POBox 444, Coffeyville, KS 67337, asking them for a lookup, enclosing $3.50 and the info you're needing. They also have cemetery books for sale. They have a website but I've been unable to bring it up this a.m. so I can't give you the correct address. You might Google it. I know it is a rootsweb.com address. Wichita isn't so far. You might drive down; you could visit the Caney, Coffeyville, and/or Independence libraries and have a fun trip of it. I know nothing of the Caney library nor their historical society. You might Google them also. Good hunting! Jean Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
