    3. The Independence Daily Reporter Montgomery County Monday November 22, 1937 Edith Myers. Following a cerebral hemorrhage, Miss Edith Myers, 54, a resident of Nowata and Coffeyville most of her life, died Friday at her home in Coffeyville. Funeral services were held this afternoon at Nowata.

Funeral services were held Sudnay at Graham, Texas, for Edward GRAHAM, 69, a member of the Van Vleck and Graham Oil company at Coffeyville until eight years ago. The body was returned to Coffeyville today for funeral services being held there tomorrow afternoon. The wife, a son and two daughers survive.

Miss Rita Dougherty CARPENTER, niece of Mr. and Mrs. George Dougherty of Norman, Okla., and Mr. Calvin COOPER, son of Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Cooper of Caney, were united in marriage Saturday morning at the Sacred Heart rectory in Caney with the Rev. J.P. Mangan officiating. The groom formerly attended the Independence Junior college and later was a student at Kansas State College in Manhattan.

    3. The Independence Daily Reporter Monday November 22, 1937 Cowles--Watkins. Mr. and Mrs. E. L. COWLES, 120 West Oak announce the marriage of their daughter, Elinor, to Mr. Ted J. Watkins, son of Mr. and Mrs. W.F. Watkins, of Cherryvale. The wedding took place Saturday evening at eight o'clock in the home of the bride and groom at Cherryvale. The ceremony was read by the Rev. Howard Benton, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal church, in the presence of the immediate families. Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Cowles were hosts in their home at a wedding dinner honoring Mr. and Mrs. Watkins. Guests were limited to the members of the families who had attended the wedding. Yellow and lavender chrysanthemums decorated the table at which the courses were served.

The bride's sister, Mrs. Gwendolyn Klein, accompanied the couple. Mr. and Mrs. Page are making their home with his parents for the present.

Mrs. Estella CARY, widow of George Cary, who died October 26, Sunday morning at Sedro Woolley, Wash., according to word received by Coffeyville residents. Mrs. Cary was a resident of Coffeyville about 40 years. The family moved to Washington two years ago. Five daughters and a son survive.
