Services will be at 10:30 a.m. at First Methodist Church at Independence, for Mrs. Carol Sue Eades, 22, 1719 Ambursh Road, who died Friday in a Kansas City, Kan., hospital. She had been a hospital patient since March 13. She had leukemia. Mrs. Eades was a fifth grade teacher at Highland Park Central Elementary School, 2714 Indiana. She was born Oct. 11, 1945, at Marion, Ohio, and spent most of her life at Independence in Montgomery County. She was graduated from Independence Junior College. She was graduated from Kansas State Teachers College at Pittsburg where she majored in elementary education. She had been a member of First Methodist Church at Independence, Topeka Teachers Assn., Kansas State Teachers Assn., and National Education Assn. Survivors included her husband, Gerald Eades, at home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gail M. STOUT, Independence; a brother, Stephen G. Stout, Independence; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. H. J. RIEMAR, Marion, Ohio, and Mrs. William LAYCOX, Columbus, Ohio. Burial willbe in Mount Hope Cemetery at Independence. Rodrick Funeral Home at Independence is in charge of arrangements.

    3. The Coffeyville Journal Montgomery County Tuesday October 5, 1999 Orial Miller-Pursley. Orial Esther Miller-Pursley, 88, of Independence, died Saturday night at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center where she had been undergoing treatment. Mrs. Miller was born July 24, 1911, at Moore, Okla., to George Huston and Grace (King) Huston. She grew up in Oklahoma and attended school there. She moved to California in 1931, and later to the Cherryvlae area where she had resided the past 35 years. Mrs. Miller was a member of the Eagles and Veterans of Foreign Wars ladies' auxiliaries of Independence. Survivors include a son, Glenn ARMSTRONG of Truth or Consequences, N.M.; one daughter, Donnell NUNN of Carson City, Nev.; one brother, Virgil Huston of Atwater, Calif.; one sister, Fay LUTHEY, of Merced, Calif.; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Potts Chapel, Cherryvale. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, also at Cherryvale. Friends may call at Potts Chapel until 5 p.m. Tuesday, and after 8 a.m. Wednesday.

    3. Will some kind soul look up an obit for; Anna Mae Keck b. May 1882, a native of Rutland, Montgomery County, Kansas, married James Walter Morrison b. 1 Apr 1875 in Pennsylvania in 1905. They were living in Fredonia, Wilson County, Kansas in the 1910 census where James was an oil and gas well driller. By some catastrophic event, they both died on 10 Nov 1916, possibly in the oil fields of Oklahoma. Any help in finding an obit would be deeply appreciated, as they were my great aunt and uncle. Geraldean WEAVER, 78, of Nowata, died Tuesday morning, Sept. 28, 1999, at Jane Phillips Nowata Health Center. Mrs. Weaver was born April 15, 1921, at Nowata, to Arthur Ellis and Mable Corle Ellis. She lived in Nowata all her life. Mrs. Weaver attended school at Nowata. She married Floyd Weaver on May 9, 1953, at Nowata. Mr. Weaver preceded her in death on Nov. 5, 1995. Mrs. Weaver was a member of the Nowata First Baptist Church. She had retired from work as a beauty operator. Survivors include two sons, Floyd of Nowata, and Charles of Glenpool, Okla.; one daughter, Barbara Jean YATES, of Nowata; one sister, Georgia Lea LANRESS of Porter, Calif.; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one step granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd; by two brothers and by two sisters. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Benjamin Funeral Chapel, Nowata. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, also in Nowata.

Harrieta Alice McKEE, 92, of Alluwe, Okla., died Sunday afternoon, Sept. 26, 1999, at Colonial Care Center, Chelsea, Okla. Mrs. McKee was born Oct. 15, 1906, in the Trenton community, near Edna to Marshall A. and Myrtle (Marshall) Tebo. She grew up in Trenton, and attended Trenton school. She married Lonnie Delbert McKEE on July 30, 1927, at Nowata. The couple moved to the northeast corner of Nowata County, and in 1941, the moved to Alluwe, and have lived there since. Mr. McKee preceded his wife in death on June 28,1979. Mrs. McKee was employed as a cook in Alluwe cafes, and was employed 15 years as a cook for Alluwe schools. She was a member of Artex Painting Organization. Mrs. McKee was also a member of the Alluwe Methodist Church. Surivors include one son, Delbert McKee of Nowata; one daughter, Vela STILL of Alluwe; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Lonnie; by a son Marvin; and by four sisters. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Benjamin Funeral Chapel, Nowata. Burial willbe in Memorial Park Cemetery.
