Martin (born c.1830 in Florida) and his wife, Elizabeth (born c.1832 in Indiana). Their known children were George, Mary, Joseph, Bertha & Edna. This family, in 1880, was residing at Beloit, Mitchell County, Kansas. Previously, they had been in Mills County, Iowa. Alexander P. Martin was born in St. Augustine, FL as "Alexander Papy". For reasons unknown, he changed his surname to "Martin". I am co-authoring a book on the pioneer Papy/Pappy family of Florida. Any assistance or suggestions would be appreciated! Greg C.
