Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Cm.2ADI/52 Message Board Post: found wedding announcement the marriage of major lewis anderson of beloit kansas and miss estella rice cottrell took place at the residence of mrs cottrell on west milwaukee st at 8 oclock thursday morning. april 8 , 1886. the ceremoney was performed by the rev d jenkins of the congregational church. the bride was lovely in a white india lawn, pearl ornaments and natural flowers. only relatives of the bride and a few intimate friends of the family were present. after the ceremony the happy company partook oa a sumptuous breakfast. the bride ia most estimabe lady, possessing many friends in oconomowoc (waukesha co) wisconsin. the groom is an extensive stock raiser, having a ranch in western kansas and also one on the pacific coast. he is about six two, straight as an arrow just turning 50 and atypical southern gentleman. he owned a large planation before the war and was a major in the confederate army. mr and mrs anderson departed on the 930 train for beloit kansas where they intend to reside ! for the present.
