Are there any Civil War histories regarding families that were escorted to Mitchell Co., KS for their protection, and what became of them. I'm looking for the family of Daniel Myers from Crawford Co., ARK. They were for the Union, and the local people of Crawford Co. killed one son, maybe others, and the rest escaped to KS with the Union.
