JOHN QUAKENBUSH STRICKEN from Mondays Daily: When John Quakenbush of Asherville township went out to do his evening's milking last night and did not put in an appearance for some time his wife went out to the barn to see what was the trouble. She was shocked to find Mr Quakenbush lying in the basement of the barn in an unconscious condition. She summoned help and the afflicted man was taken to the house and a physician called. He found that Mr Quakenbush was suffering from a stroke of apoplexy, being in a very serious condition. He has remained in an unconscious condition all day today and unless there is a sudden turn for the better his recovery is doubtful. -------- Obituary Notice January 10, 1912 John Quakenbush was born in Green Co Indiana, November 7, 1850 and died in Asherville Township, Mitchell Co Kansas January 10, 1912 aged 61 years, 2 months and 3 days.
