Hello, Esther Zimmerman SEIDEL once -and only once- told me that she had heard about a lynching in Mitchell county. My hazy memory tells me that a horse was stolen and when the culprit was found, he was hanged. I do not think there was an arrest or a trial.... This may have happened more often that we know.
