    3. Laura, Looked for your Hune/Gottsacker/Deters today. Couldn't find a lot on the Deters boys, just the following: 1880 Mitchell County Census Deters, Frank, age 29, farmer, born in Oldenberg, both parents born there as well, living in Beloit tp. Deters, Arnold, age 26, grocer clerk, born in Oldendberg, both parents born there as well, lived in Beloit town 1880 MC Co Census Cottsacker, J., age 54, farmer, born in Prussia, both parents born there as well, Plum Creek tp Catherine, age 50, wife, born in Prussia, both parents born there as well Mary, age 20, daughter, born in Wisconsin Helena, age 19, daughter, born in WI Joseph, age 17, son, born in WI Gasper, age 15, son, born in WI Catherine, age 13, dau., born in WI Anna, age 10, dau, born in WI Thresa, age 8, dau, born in WI John E., age 3, son, born in WI 1880 MC Co Census Hune, John F., 47, farmer, born in Hanover, both parents born there as well, living in Beloit tp Mary E., 43, wife, born in Prussia, both parents born there as well Edward, 20, son, born in Iowa Richard, 18, son, born in IA Rosa, 14, dau, born in IA Frederica, 10, dau, born in IA John, 5, son, born in IA John and Mary Hune are both buried at St John's Catholic Cemetery, Beloit, KS. The part you've probably been waiting for: Catherine "Kate" (Gottsacker) Hune did indeed die from burns suffered in a gas fire from her stove. She was pregnant at the time and died on Monday, 30 September 1889 in Beloit, shortly after giving birth to a child that "did not survive her." I talked to the lady at the Catholic church and Kate is buried at St John's Catholic cemetery, but she has no stone. The records at the church did not mention the child. My guess is that it is buried with her, but that is only an educated guess. Please let me know if you want more. I have the whole obit and story here, plus a few marriages and can lay my hands on the obits of John and Mary Hune if you want them too.
