From Alfred C. MCCRACKEN to John T. MCCRACKEN State of Kansas, Mitchell County, ss. This instrument was filed for record on the 7” day of June A.D. 1901 at 1:30 o’clock P.M. C. DRAKER Register of Deeds. This Indenture, Made this 27th day of September A.D. 1897, between Alfred C. MCCRACKEN a single man of Lincoln County, in the State of Kansas, of the first part, and John T. MCCRACKEN of Lincoln County, in the State of Kansas, of the second part: WITNESSETH, That said party of the first part, in consideration of the sum of One Thousand and no/100 DOLLARS, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, does by these presents grant, bargain, sell and convey unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, all the following described REAL ESTATE, situated in the County of Mitchell and State of Kansas, to-wit: The East half of the South East quarter of Section Thirty Three (33) in Township Nine (9), Range Eight (8) West of the 6th Principal Meridian. Containing 80 acres more or less. TO HAVE AND TO HOLD THE SAME, Together with all and singular the tenements, hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining, forever. And said Alfred C. MCCRACKEN for himself, his heirs, executors or administrators, does hereby covenant, promise and agree, to and with the said party of the second part, that at the delivery of these presents he is lawfully seized in his own right, of an absolute and indefeasible estate of inheritance, in fee simple, of and in all and singular the above granted and described premises, with the appurtenances; that the same are free, clear, discharged and unencumbered of and from all former and other grants, titles, charges, estates, judgments, taxes, assessments and incumbrances, of what nature or kind soever; and that he will WARRANT AND FOREVER DEFEND the same unto said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, against said party of the first part, his heirs, an all and every person or persons whomsoever, lawfully claiming or to claim the same. BE IT REMEMBERED, That on this 27th day of September A.D. 1897, before me, the undersigned a Notary Public in and for the County and State aforesaid, came Alfred C. MCCRACKEN a single man who is personally known to me to be the same person who executed the within instrument of writing, and such person duly acknowledged the execution of the same.
