CHAPEL to Samuel CARTER This Indenture Made this Eighteenth (18) Day of January A.D. 1877 between Myron S. CHAPEL and Esther E. CHAPEL his wife of Asherville County of Mitchell and State of Kansas of the first part and Samuel CARTER of Asherville County and State aforesaid of the second part Witnesseth that the party of the first part in Consideration of the Sum of Eight Hundred Dollars to him duly paid has Bargained and Sol and by these Presents does Grant and convey to the Said party of the second part his heirs and assigns all that tract or parcel of land situated in Mitchell County and State of Kansas and Described as follows to Wit. West half of South west quarter of Section (26) and East half of South East quarter Section (27) Township Seven South of Range Sit West of the Smith Principal Med with the appurtenances and all the Estate title and interest of the said party of the first part therein and the said party of the first Does hereby covenant and agree that at the Delivery hereof that they are the lawfull owners of the Premises above Granted and Seized of a good and indefeasible Estate of in heritance in fee simple and that the same are free and clear of all incumbrances and they will Warrant and Defend the same in the Quiet and Peacable possession of the said party of the Second part his heirs and assigns forever against the lawfull Claims of all persons whomsoever In witness whereof the said party of the first part have hereunto set their hand and seal the Day and year above written Sealed and Delivered in Presence of T HIDDLESAN M.
