GENERAL WARRANTY. From Dora CARTER a Widow to Cornelius A. KENT This Indenture, Made this 24th day of August, A.D. 1907, between Dora CARTER a widow of Mitchell County, in the State of Kansas, of the first part, and Cornelius A. KENT of Mitchell County, in the State of Kansas, of the second part, WITNESSETH, That said party of the first part, in consideration of the sum of Three Thousand Five Hundred ($3500 00/100 and no DOLLARS, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, does by these presents grant, bargain, sell and convey unto said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, all the following-described real estate, situated in the County of Mitchell and State of Kansas, to wit: The South half of the North East Quarter (S1NE4) and the North East Quarter of the North East Quarter (NE4NE4) in Section Seven (7) and the South East Quarter of the South East Quarter (SE4SE4) in Section Six (6) All in Town Nine South (9) and Range Seven (7) West of the Sixth principal meridian, Containing one hundred and Sixty (160) acres more or less according to the United States government survey thereof TO HAVE AND TO HOLD THE SAME, Together with all and singular the tenements, hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging, or in anywise appertaining, forever. And said Dora CARTER for her heirs, executors or administrators, does hereby covenant, promise and agree, to and with said party of the second part, that at the delivery of these presents she is lawfully seized in her own right, of an absolute and indefeasible estate of inheritance, in fee simple, of and in all and singular the above granted and described premises, with the appurtenances; that the same are free, clear, discharged and unencumbered of and from all former and other grants, titles, charges, estates, judgments, taxes, assignments and incumbrances, of what nature or kind soever; Except a mortgage of One Thousand Dollars ($1000.00) which second party assumed, and that she will WARRANT AND FOREVER DEFEND the same unto said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, against said party of the first part, her heirs, and all and every person or persons whomsoever, lawfully claiming or to claim the same. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, The said party of the first part has hereunto set her hand, the day and year first above written. Dora CARTER State of Kansas, Mitchell County, ss. BE IT REMEMBERED, That on this 24th day of August, A.D. 1907, before me, the undersigned, a Notary Public in and for the County and State aforesaid, came Dora CARTER who is personally known to me to be the same person who executed the within instrument of writing, and such person duly acknowledged the execution of the same.
