From Alice R. DEYO to W. W. MCCRACKEN Filed for Record on the 25th day of January 1889, at 8 o’clock A.M. J. W. BARTLESON Register of Deeds. This Indenture, Made this 24 day of January A.D. 1889 between Alice R. DEJO widow of Mitchell County, in the State of Kansas of the first part, and W. W. MCCRACKEN of Mitchell county, in the State of Kansas of the second part: Witnesseth, That said parties of the first part, in consideration of the sum of Sixteen Hundred and – DOLLARS, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, do by these presents GRANT, BARGAIN, SELL AND CONVEY unto said party of the second part, here heirs and assigns, all the following-described REAL ESTATE, situated in the County of Mitchell and State of Kansas to wit: North East Quarter of Section Fifteen Town Eight Range Seven West of Sixth Principal meridian. To have and to Hold the Same, Together with all and singular the tenements, hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining, forever: And said Alice R. DEYO widow for herself, her heirs, executors or administrators, do hereby covenant, promise and agree, to and with said party of the second part, that at the delivery of these presents she was lawfully seized in her own right, of an absolute and indefeasible estate of inheritance, in fee simple, of and in all and singular the above granted and described premises, with the appurtenances; that the same are free, clear, discharged and unencumbered of and from all former and other grants, titles, charges, estates, judgments, taxes, assessments and incumbrances, of what nature or kind soever; Except a mortgage of Thirteen Hundred Dollars, this day executed and that she will WARRANT AND FOREVER DEFEND the same unto said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, against said party of the first part, her heirs, and all and very person or persons whomsoever, lawfully claiming or to claim the same. In Witness Whereof, The said party of the first part has hereunto set her hand, the day and year first above written. Alice R. DEYO State of Kansas, Mitchell County, ss: Be it Remembered, That on this 24th day of January A.D. 1889, before me, the undersigned, a Notary Public in and for the County and State aforesaid, came Alice R. DEYO widow who is personally known to me to be the same person who executed the within instrument of writing, and such person did duly acknowledged the execution of the same.
