From Hiram R. DARROW and Wife to Hans ASMUSEN State of Kansas, Mitchell County, ss. This instrument was filed for record on the 9th day of Jan A.D. 1908 at 8 o’clock A.M. J. W. MCGHEE Register of Deeds This Indenture, Made this 8th day of Jan A.D. 1908, between Hiram R. DARROW and Alice DARROW his wife of Mitchell County, in the State of Kansas, of the first part, and Hans ASMUSEN of Cloud County, in the State of Kansas, of the second part, WITNESSETH, That said parties of the first part, in consideration of the sum of Eight Thousand DOLLARS, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, do by these presents grant, bargain, sell and convey unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, all the following described real estate, situated in the County of Mitchell and State of Kansas, to-wit: West one half of the Southwest quarter and West one half of the Northwest quarter in Section No. Twenty five (25) Township Seven (7) South of Range Six (6) west of the 6th Principal Meridian Subject to a Mortgage of $800 and interest which is here by made a part of the consideration To Have and to Hold the Same, Together with all and singular the tenements, hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining, forever. And said Hiram R. DARROW and Alice DARROW for themselves heirs, executors or administrators, do hereby covenant, promise and agree, to and with said party of the second part, that at the delivery of these presents they are lawfully seized in their own right, of an absolute and indefeasible estate of inheritance, in fee simple, of and in all and singular the above granted and described premises, with the appurtenances; that the same are free, clear, discharged and unencumbered of and from all former and other grants, titles, charges, estates, judgments, taxes, assignments and incumbrances, of what nature or kind soever; Except as above stated and ½ of the Taxes for this year and that he will WARRANT AND FOREVER DEFEND the same unto said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, against said parties of the first part, their heirs, and all and every person or persons whomsoever, lawfully cliaming or to claim the same. In Witness Whereof, The said parties of the first part hereunto set their hands, the day and year first above written. Hiram R. DARROW Alice DARROW State of Kansas, Mitchell County, ss. BE IT REMEMBERED, That on this 8th day of Jan, A. D. 1908, before me, the undersigned, a Notary Public in and for the County and State aforesaid, came Hiram R. DARROW and Alice DARROW his wife who are personally known to me to be the same persons who executed the within instrument of writing, and such person duly acknowledged the execution of the same.
