From Elizabeth E. BELL Single to F. J. MCCAULEY This Indenture, Made this 15th day of March A.D. 1901, between Elizabeth E. BELL (Single) of Mitchell County, in the State of Kansas, of the first part, and F. M. MCCAULEY of Mitchell County, in the State of Kansas, of the second part: WITNESSETH, That said party of the first part, in consideration of the sum of One Hundred and no/100 DOLLARS, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, does by these presents grant, bargain, sell and convey unto said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, all the following described REAL ESTATE, situated in the County of Mitchell and State of Kansas, to-wit: Lots Number Twelve (12) and Thirteen (13) in Block Number Tem (10) in the Village of Scottsville, according to plat recorded in the Register of Deeds office in Beloit Kansas (I. R. Stamp 50 cts.) TO HAVE AND TO HOLD THE SAME, Together with all and singular the tenements, hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining, forever. And said Elizabeth E. BELL (Single) for herself, her heirs, executors or administrators, does hereby covenant, promise and agree, to and with the said party of the second part, that at the delivery of these presents she is lawfully seized in her own right, of an absolute and indefeasible estate of inheritance, in fee simple, of and in all and singular the above granted and described premises, with the appurtenances; that the same are free, clear, discharged and unencumbered of and from all former and other grants, titles, charges, estates, judgments, taxes, assessments and incumbrances, of what nature or kind soever; and that she will WARRANT AND FOREVER DEFEND the same unto said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, against said party of the first part, her heirs, an all and every person or persons whomsoever, lawfully claiming or to claim the same. BELL (Single) who is personally known to me to be the same person who executed the within instrument of writing, and such person duly acknowledged the execution of the same.
