Surnames: CARTER, WINGATE Classification: Deed Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Cm.2ADI/206 Message Board Post: Mitchell County, Kansas Land Records Book A Page 1 This Deed, Made this 9th day of March in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and Seventy one between David WINGATE of the County of Mitchell in the Sate of Kansas part of the first part, and Samuel CARTER of the County of Richardson in the State of Nebraska part of the second part: Witnesseth, That the said party of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of Five hundred Dollars, to him, in hand paid by the said party of the second part, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, does by these presents Grant, Bargain, sell, Remise, Release, Alien, Convey and Confirm unto the said party of the second part, and to his heirs and assigns forever, all of the following described tract, piece and parcel of land lying and situate in the County of Mitchell in the State of Kansas to wit: The West half of the North East quarter of Section No. Thirty found in Township No (7) seven South of Range No. (6) Six North Containing (80) Eighty acres according to the Government Survey Together with all and singular the hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging, or in any wise appertaining; To Have and to Hold the same unto the said party of the second part to his heirs and assigns forever. And the said Party of the first part for him and his heirs, doth hereby covenant with the said Party of the second part and his heirs and assigns forever, that against the said party of the first part and his heirs and assigns all and every person or persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to set the same?. Eighteen Hundred and Seventy one before me Clerk of the District in and for the County and State aforesaid, came David Wingate of Mitchell County Kansas who is personally known to be to be the same person who executed the foregoing instrument of writing and duly acknowledged the execution of the same.
