WEIGANT. Junction City, Ks. State of Kansas, Mitchell County, ss. This instrument was filed for record on the 11th day of March A.D. 1922, at 9 o’clock A.M. E. GASTON Register of Deeds. This Indenture, Made this 19th day of May A.D. 1922, between Alice DARROW, a widow of Mitchell County, in the State of Kansas of the first part, and Albert C. WEIGANT of Geary County, in the State of Kansas of the second part: Witnesseth, That said party of the first part, in consideration of the sum of One Dollar and exchange of properties and – DOLLARS, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, do by these presents Grant, Bargain, Sell and Convey unto said party of the second part, her heirs and assigns, all the following-described Real Estate, situated in the County of Mitchell and State of Kansas, to wit: Commencing at a point 366 Ft. east of the southwest corner of the southeast quarter of the southeast quart of Sec. nine (9) in town seven (7), Range seven (7), West of the 6th P.M.; thence running east on the section line two hundred fifty nine and one half feet; thence north var. 11 degrees east four hundred seventy six feet; thence west parallel to the south line of said section line two hundred sixty-two and one half feet (262 ½); thence south var. 11 degrees and 5 minutes four hundred seventy six (476) feet to place of beginning, containing three acres more or less. Also a tract beginning at a point one hundred eighty (180) feet, east and thirty (30) ft. North of the southwest corner of the south east quarter of the southeast quart of section nine (9), Town seven (7), Range seven (7), West of the 6th P.M., thence north four hundred forty six (446) feet; thence east one hundred eight six (186) ft., thence south four hundred forty six (446) ft., thence west one hundr! ed eighty six (186) feet, to place of beginning, containing two acres, more or less. Also another tract beginning at a point on the east line of section nine (9), town seven (7), Range Seven (7) west of the 6th P.M., three hundred sixty six and thirty hundredths (366.30) feet north of the southeast corner of said section nine, Town seven, range seven; thence west parallel with the south line of said section, seven hundred fifteen and forty-four hundredths (715.44) ft., thence north parallel with the east line of said section, six hundred twenty eight and one-third (628 1/3) ft. to the southern limits of the right-of-way of the Union Pacific Railroad; thence in a southeasterly direction along the southern limits of said right-of-way of Union Pacific Railroad, seven hundred eighty six (786) ft to the east line of said Sec. Nine, Town seven Range seven, West; thence south along the said section line three hundred eleven and two-thirds (311 2/3) ft. to the point of beginning containing 7.70 acres more or less, excepted therefrom a tract of land commencing at a p! oint on the east line of section nine, Town. Seven, south of range seven, west of the 6th P.M., 366.30 ft. north of the southeast corner of said section nine; thence west parallel with the south line of said section nine, 351 ft. thence north parallel with the east line of said section nine 437 feet to the south limits of the right-of-way of the Union Pacific Railroad; thence southeasterly along the southern limits of said right of way to the east line of section nine, thence south of section line to place of beginning, containing three acres more or less. $1.00 DOCUMENTARY REVENUE STAMP 1-19-22 To Have and to Hold the Same, Together with all and singular the tenements, hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining, forever. And said Alice DARROW for herself her heirs, executors or administrators, do hereby covenant, promise and agree, to and with said party of the second part, that at the delivery of these presents they are lawfully seized in their own right, of an absolute and indefeasible estate of inheritance, in fee simple, of and in all and singular the above granted and described premises, with the appurtenances that the same are free, clear, discharged and unencumbered of and from all former and other grants, titles, charges, estates, judgments, taxes, assignments and incumbrances of what nature or kind soever; except for a mortgage of $1000.00 in favor of The First National Bank of Beloit, Kansas. Dated March 1, 1920 and due March 1, 1925. and that she will WARRANT AND FOREVER DEFEND the same unto said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, against said party of the first part, her heirs, and all and every person or persons whomsoever, lawfully claiming or to claim the same. In Witness Whereof, The said parties of the first part have hereunto set their hands the day and year first above written. Alice DARROW STATE OF Kansas, Mitchell COUNTY, ss. BE IT REMEMBERED, That on this 19th day of January A.D. 1922, before me, the undersigned, a Notary Public, in and for the County and State aforesaid, came Alice DARROW, a widow who is personally known to me to be the same person who executed the within instrument of writing, and such persons are personally known to me to be the same persons.
