From Samuel W. DARROW and Wife to Oscar B. HARFORD State of Kansas, Mitchell County, ss. This instrument was filed for record on the 17th day of Oct., A.D. 1906, at 1 o’clock P.M. J. W. MCGHEE, Register of Deeds. This Indenture, Made this 8th day of Oct., A.D., 1906, between Samuel W. DARROW & Eleanor DARROW, husband & wife, of Mitchell County, in the State of Kas, of the first part, and Oscar B. HARFORD of Allen County, in the State of Kansas, of the second part. WITNESSETH, That said parties of the first part, in consideration of the sum of Eight Hundred & fifty and – DOLLARS, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, do by these presents grant, bargain, sell and convey unto said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, all the following-described real estate, situated in the County of Mitchell and State of Kansas, to wit: Beginning at a point thirty nine (39) feet west and Nine hundred thirty (930) feet South of the North East corner of the North west quarter (1/4) of Sec. thirty four (34) Township Seven (7) South of Range Six West. Thence North two hundred thirty four (234) feet. Thence west one hundred & fifty (150) feet Thence south One hundred for forty Nine (149) feet. Thence in a South Easterly direction to a point of beginning. TO HAVE AND TO HOLD THE SAME, Together with all and singular the tenements, hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging, or in anywise appertaining, forever. And said Samuel W. DARROW & Eleanor DARROW for themselves, heirs, executors or administrators, do hereby covenant, promise and agree, to and with said party of the second part, that at the delivery of these presents that they are lawfully seized in their own right, of an absolute and indefeasible estate of inheritance, in fee simple, of an in all and singular the above granted and described premises, with the appurtenances; that the same are free, clear, discharged and unencumbered of and from all former and other grants, titles, charges, estates, judgments, taxes, assignments and incumbrances, of what nature or kind soever; and that they will WARRANT AND FOREVER DEFEND the same unto said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns against said parties of the first part, their heirs, and all and every person or persons whomsoever, lawfully claiming or to claim the same. BE IT REMEMBERED, That on this 8th day of October, A.D. 1906, before me, the undersigned, a Justice of the Peace in and for the County and State aforesaid, came Samuel W. DARROW who are personally known to me to be the same persons who executed the within instrument of writing, and such persons duly acknowledged the execution of the same.
