D. REEVE and Wife to Mary E. DARROW STATE OF KANSAS, MITCHELL COUNTY, ss. This instrument was filed for record on the 27th day of May A.D. 1914, at 8 o’clock A.M. J. W. MCGHEE Register of Deeds. This Indenture, Made this 1st day of April A.D. 1814, between J. D. REEVES and Harriett REEVES his wife, of Mitchell County, in the State of Kansas, of the first part, and Mary E. DARROW of Mitchell County, in the State of Kansas, of the second part: WITNESSETH, That said party of the first part, in consideration of the sum of One hundred and thirty and no/100 DOLLARS, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, do by these presents grant, bargain, sell and convey unto the said party of the second part, her heirs and assigns, all the following-described real estate, situated in the County of Mitchell and State of Kansas, to-wit: Commencing at a point 354 ft west and 742 ½ feet South of the North East Corner of the North West Quarter of Section 34#, Township 7#, South of range 6th, West of the 6th P.M. Thence in a Southeasterly course along the railroad lying its 172# ft; Thence North 83# Thence West 150# ft, to the place of beginning, now plotted and known as Lot 9# and a part of Lot 10#, in Block 6#, Asherville Kansas. To Have and to Hold the Same, Together with all and singular the tenements, hereditaments appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining, forever. And said parties of the first part for themselves their heirs, executors or administrators, do hereby covenant, promise and agree, to and with said party of the second part, that at the delivery of these presents they are lawfully seized in their own right, of an absolute and indefeasible estate of inheritance, in fee simple, of and in all and singular the above-granted and described premises, with the appurtenances; that the same are free, clear, discharged and unencumbered of and from all former and other grants, titles, charges, estates, judgments, taxes, assignments and incumbrances, of what nature or kind soever: and that they will WARRANT AND FOREVER DEFEND the same unto the said party of the second part, her heirs and assigns, against said parties of the first part, their heirs, and all and every person or persons whomsoever, lawfully claiming or to claim the same. BE IT REMEMBERED, That on this 26 day of May, A.D. 1914, before me the undersigned, a Notary Public in and for the County and State aforesaid, came J. D. REEVES and Harriett REEVES his wife who are personally known to me to be the same persons who executed the within instrument of writing, and such persons duly acknowledged the execution of the same.
