From Arthur H. CHAPEL et al to J. J. DARROW State of Kansas, Mitchell County, ss. This instrument was filed for record on the 4” day of Dec. A.D. 1906, at 4 o’clock P.M. J. W. MCGHEE Register of Deeds. This Indenture, Made this 21st day of November A.D. 1906, whereby Arthur H. CHAPEL and Otta M. CHAPEL, his wife, H. H. REEVES and Katie Lee REEVES, his wife convey and warrant to J. J. DARROW the following described lands in the County of Mitchell, State of Kansas, to wit: Commencing four hundred Eighty one (481) feet South and four hundred and twenty nine (429) feet west of the North East corner of the north west quarter of Section thirty four (34) Town Seven (7) Range Six (6): Thence South two hundred thirty two (232) feet: Thence in a North westerly direction one hundred seventy and one half (170 ½) feet, to a point Six hundred twenty seven and one half (627 ½) feet south of the north line of Said Section Thirty four (34): Thence East to place of beginning: except alley extending East and west in Block five (5) as shown by the plat of the village of Asherville, Kansas, The Same being the South half of Lot one (1) all of Lots two and three (2-3), and all of lots ! four (4) except a Strip from off the south side thereof seven and hone half (7 ½) feet wide on the east and extending to a point at the southwest corner of Said Lot four (4), all in Block five in the village of Asherville, Kansas for the sum of Sixteen Hundred (1600) DOLLARS, who will forever defend the title thereto, against all lawful claims whatsoever Arthur H. REEVES and Katie LEE REEVES his wife who are personally known to me to be the same persons who executed the foregoing instrument of writing, and as such persons duly acknowledged the execution of the same.
