From John REES and Wife to Samuel DARROW This Indenture, Made this 30th day of April, A.D. 1894, between John REES and Nancy C. REES his wife of Mitchell County, in the State of Kansas, of the first part, and Samuel DARROW of Mitchell County, in the State of Kansas, of the second part, Witnesseth, That said part of the first part, in consideration of Fifteen and – DOLLARS, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, do by these presents grant, bargain, sell and convey unto said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, all the following described real estate, situated in the County of Mitchell, and State of Kansas, to wit: Beginning at a Point 696 feet South and 39 feet west of the North East corner of the North west quarter of Section 34-Township 7 South of Range 6 west Thence west 150 feet, Thence North 25 feet, Thence East 150 feet, Thence South 25 feet to the point of beginning. To have and to Hold the Same, Together with all and singular the tenements, hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining, forever. And said John REES and Nancy C. REES his wife for themselves their heirs, executors or administrators, do hereby covenant, promise and agree, to and with the said part of the second part, that at the delivery of these presents they were lawfully seized in their won right, of an absolute and indefeasible estate of inheritance, in fee simple, of and in all and singular the above granted and described premises, with the appurtenances; that the same are free, clear, discharged and unencumbered of and from all former and other grants, titles, charges, estates, judgments, taxes, assignments and incumbrances of what nature or kind soever; and that they will warrant and forever defend the same unto said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, against said parties of the first part, their heirs, and all and every person or persons whomsoever, lawfully claiming or to claim the same. Be it Remembered, That on this First day of May, A.D. 1894, before me, the undersigned, a Notary Public in and for the County and State aforesaid, cam John REES & Nancy C. REES his wife, who are personally known to me to be the same persons who executed the within instrument of writing, and such persons have duly acknowledge the execution of the same.
