Bunker died Saturday afternoon, Janaury 2, 1926, at 3 o'clock in a hospital in Abilene. He had been sick only a few days and his dath followed an operation for acute appendicitis. Lester D. Bunker is a grandson of Del Bunker of Beloit and a son of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Bunker, who live on a farm near Abilene. He was just 21 years of age and had graduated from the Dickinson county high school. This winter he had been taking some special work at the school, and, a few weeks ago when his grandfather was down to visit the Bruce Bunker family, Lester was apparently in good health. Aside from his heartbroken parents, the deceased lad leaves two sisters and one brother, Mrs. Agnes Fleming of Norway, Kan., Miss Gladys Bunker and Wayne Bunker of Abilene. 1. [KSMITCHE] Samuel Banks Info
    2. Sally Holden Dyson
    3. My thanks to Lori & Erma for the info on the Samuel Banks family. His wife Mary (Rader) Banks would not be the Mary I'm looking for. My gg-grandfather, Elijah Holden, died in 1897 in Decatur Co. and his obit says that he had a daughter living in Beloit so I just did a line by line search of the 1900 census looking for any Mary/Marian (b. 1846 PA) or Lucretia (b. 1854 WI). These were the only daughters possibly still alive at the time & Mary (actually Marian) was the most likely of the two. Mary Banks and the following Mary Gaylord were the only real possibilities I found in that census: Gaylord, Isaac, b. 9/1839 in OH, Farmer Gaylord, Mary C., b. 2/1846 in PA Gaylord, Grace B., b. 11/1875 in WI Gaylord, Louise M., b. 8/1878 in WI Gaylord, Isabell P., 11/1881 in KS Gaylord, Louis B., b. 5/1845 in OH, brother, cigar mfg. Does anyone have info on these folks?? My next project is to look at the 1900 census for Beloit Twp.! Once again thank you so much for your help! Sally Holden Dyson longtalsally@home.com
