Good Evening from Cold San Diego, CA: My great grandparents, Jasper Montgomery and Katherine [nee Powell} Mounts departed Owensville, IN after the birth of my grandfather, Arthur Montgomery Mounts, 05 NOV 1871 along with his older siblings, Ida Bell and Della Mounts Orr. Believe Kate Powell Mounts expired on the way as I have been unable to find any data on her before their departure from Owensville. Lived in McPherson Cty. until circa 1896 and then removed to Kansas City, KS. Della Mounts m. Alva Orr and removed to Denison, TX. Ida Bell have not data on her. Jasper Montgomery Mounts passed away in Kansas City, KS is laid to rest in the ???? Cemetery. Arthur Montgomery Mounts passed away in 1920 and is laid to rest beside his second wife in Highland Cemetery, Kansas City, KS. Has any one any data pertaining to the above. His family parents and siblings came later and settled in Calumet, Houghton Co. MI. Swan E. Swanson in the 1900 Census Soundex. He was born Aug 1848 in Sweden, his wife's name is Christina. He is living in McPherson Co., Harper Township. He is located in ED 137, sheet 1, line 22 of the census. (There was a Swan SWANSON that married a Christina PATTERSON 16 Aug 1871, Manistee, Michigan).
