For anyone newish to the KSMARSHA-L list who might not be aware of what Message Board posts are, let me explain. Many Rootsweb mailing lists allow these messages from the Rootsweb Message Boards to pass to the list automatically. Because there is often spam sent through the Message Boards, or even something worse--I choose to monitor these postings before allowing them through. So anytime you see a redirected message coming through the list with something like "Message Board Post" to introduce it, you'll know what it is. Because often those who post to the Message Boards are not members of the KSMARSHA-L list, any replies to the message should be done using the URL which will appear in the message body. That way, the person who posted the query originally will see the answer. Done only to the mailing list, the poster in all liklihood will never see the reply. Also, to keep the archives for the list more "clutter-free," I generally don't post "thank you's" that come from the Message Boards, unless there's some good genealogical information there, too. I'll be sending at least one such message through shortly, but since we do have several new members, I wanted to give you a heads-up first.
