Hello, I am new to the list and also new for researching in Kansas. I have a William Stubbs age 79 b. NY listed on the 1895 Kansas State census in Blue Ridge. I believe he married my gg grandmother Rachael Vail Martin Warren in IN. On the 1880 census William b. NY, Rachael b. OH and son Walter age 9 OH were in Marion Twp., Lincoln County, Kansas. Rachael would have been 47 if Walter was her bio son. William's son George W., wife Sarah C. Warren Stubbs and son Luther James age 1 were with them on the 1880 census. Sarah C. Warren Stubbs b.IN d in Oroville, Butte Co. CA 1945 and was living with her son Luther Stubbs on the 1930 census. If anyone knows where I can search for records in Kansas, is able to do some research form or has researched Stubbs please email me I would appreciate it very much. Willing to share any info I have. You can write to the Marshall Co. Historical Society at mchs@bluevalley.net and ask them to check their cemetery database for your Stubbs.
