Hello, I too am working on this couple. I am working on any DeVoes, period! Was surprised to see your memo. I have this; George McClain d. 1887 marr. 9-19-1879 at Waterville, Marshall Co. KS. to Harriet Rosette DeVoe. Children; William d. 1912, Earnest, and Georgia. Sorry, nothing else. Harriet remarried in 1894 to Robert Thomas Benham. Robert was b. 1839 d. 1919 , one child; Elizabeth, no data. I do have this data for Harriet; b. 8-12-1863 in IA. d. 8-15-1938 HAys KS., buried Greenwood-Irving Cem. Marshall Co. Her father was Thomas D. DeVoe and mother was Almira Maria Wescott. Hope I have maybe given you a clue to look somewhere.
