Roland, I remember talking to you a few years ago about the Alkire connection - my gr grandmother was an Alkire who married John Hidy. I just haven't had much time to do anything with that line since my genealogy time is very limited and I'm working on my Hidy line for a DAR registry - if I can ever find valid documentation on the elusive 'middle' generations in Ohio and Iowa.
