    1. Beaty Family
    2. Cindy Johnstone
    3. Hello, Is anyone out there researching the Beaty family? I'm a descendant of Major Beaty and Elizabeth Watson. They were early settlers (1850s) of the Vermillion area from Brown Co, IN. They had a son Samuel J Beaty that married Claudia Randall, and a daughter Lorena that married Frank Cannon. Their youngest son was William Watson Beaty that married Clara Root. Two twins Della and Robert Beaty died young. There also was a J.F. Watson that was Elizabeth Watson's brother that accompanied them to Kansas. Does anyone recognize any of these names? Thanks, Cindy in TX --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Mail - 50x more storage than other providers!

    2. Shelley Cardiel
    3. I've "rescued" an old photograph of Lelan Lilas DESHIELDS taken at the Miller's Cottage Studio in Blue Rapids, Kansas. The photograph was probably taken in the 1880's with Lelan appearing to be in her teens or early 20's at the time. Her name is very unusual, however, I believe that I am reading it correctly. I'm hoping to locate someone from this family so that this wonderful old treasure can be returned to the care of family. If you are a member of this family or know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley
