I would like to find my husband's ancestors' homesteads. First, I can't find a map of these counties that lists where the townships were located. I know the townships these people were in (the AULDs were in Vermillion and the BRADFORDs were in Vermillion in 1860 and 1870 and in Center Twp. in 1880). Where would I find an old plat map to show me where these folks homesteads were located? I also would like to find where these people are buried. Some of the Auld's were in the Frankfort Cemetery and I need to locate that. I do not know where the Bradford's are buried. Any ideas on how to find that out this week so I can go there when I am there this weekend? Thanks for any help. Valerie ============================== Jumpstart your genealogy with OneWorldTree. 3. I have a Kansas Library Card that has census nation wide but does not list 1875 on their list of years however in 1870 Kansas Census, Leavenworth County, 1st Ward Leavenworth there is a Michael Casey. He is in the household of Thomas Casey age 30 and Margaret age 40 along with their daughter Maggie (age 14). Thomas Casey was keeping boarders & Michael Casey age 20 was listed down among the boarders (not up with the family). All were born in Ireland except Maggie & she was born in Kansas. Michael's occupation was listed as carriage maker. I then went to 1860 & 1870 census of Kansas & Michael was not there. 1875 census not available with my library card on-line. In 1870 there was only one name listed in Marshall County. That was Nancy A. Casey age 52 (born in Ireland) and her son George Casey age 15 (born in Iowa). In 1880 census, I checked all States and no Michael Casey was listed. (nor Mike). I realize that it does not mean he is not there. For some reason, the on-line census records, not all are completely recorded. Hope this helps in some way.
