The LaCygne Weekly Journal Friday November 9, 1898 It is reported in LaCygne that Dudley CHAMBERS, of Merwin, has purchased a kinetascope and will start on the road with a moving picture show. The Hallow'eeners did some damage in their ramblings around LaCygne Monday night. This should be stopped. It is all right to have a good time but when it comes to the destruction of property the line should be drawn. T.N. MARSHALL shipped one car of hogs and one car of mules to Kansas City Monday night. Joe THOMAS of Kansas was in LaCygne Saturday and Sunday and purchased a carload of mules from T.N. MARSHALL. Messrs, C.A.FISH and F.D. CARPENTER of Cleveland, Ohio and F.D. OVIATT of Kansas City, spent Saturday and Sunday in LaCygne hunting. Monday evening a party was given at the residence of Frank ALLEN in honor of Harry HYMER, of Springfield, Mo., who is visiting here. A good crowd of young folks were present and a pleasant time is reported.
