Jack TIPTON whose hand was crushed by a horse some time ago is regaining its use. Benj. KISER and G.H. GRAHAM of Amsterdam, drove over to LaCygne Friday evening. F.W. POLLMAN jr, and Miss Carrie DONALDSON attended the dance at Pleasanton Saturday night.Miss DONALDSON furnished the music for the dance. Captain SIFERS went to Mound City Tuesday to see Dr. BASKERVILLE in hopes of being relieved from his rheumatism. He was accompanied as far as Pleasanton by his son, Robert. The Jas. COPELAND's blacksmith shop one night this week and took there from five dozen files. No trace of the thief has yet been found but suspicions are centered and probably the fur will soon begin to fly.
