The La Cygne Weekly Journal Saturday March 4, 1882 Superintendent JONES has just finished apportioning the semi-annual dividend of the State school fund, amounting to 36 cents per capita; also, a county fund of 12 cents per capita, arising from fines, forfiets, etc., which makes in all 48 cents per scholar. The total amount of the State dividend is $2,178, and the county dividend, $726, there being 6,050 children of school age in the county.
