    3. The LaCygne Weekly Journal Linn County Friday November 19, 1897 Elegant meals from fifteen cents up at Croxton's restaurant. Chas. SMITH of the Memphis, spent a few hours Saturday with his parents at Prescott. Phil THORNE of Wyoming arrived here Saturday night to visit relatives and friends. T.N. MARSHALL had several loads of stock on the Kansas City market the first of the week. Mrs. T.A. CAUSEY and little daughter of Fort Scott, are visiting Will HUGHES and family. J. Frank SMITH editor of the Pleasanton Observer spent Sunday afternoon near LaCygne. A pleasant time is reported from the dance last Saturday evening. F.D. ADAMS was in Pleasanton the first of the week seeking revenge on the ducks that hover around the Horseshoe lakes. Mrs. J.A. BROYES left Monday for her home in Cherokee after a pleasant visit with relatives and friends here.
