JONES and John MASSEY the road overseer are working the roads. Mrs. Jake TAYLOR has been quite sick the past few days but is slowing improving. School commenced last Monday with M. NEAL as teacher and quite a good attendance. Charley LEE has sold his crop to the man that bought the place he was living on and he has moved on the BAKER farm. Mr. and Mrs. YOUNG are expected home from Indiana where they have been attending the funeral of their daugther, Mrs. Emma POE. They will bring the youngest child home with them. James MOORE went to Drexel Wednesday on business. His school at the Washington district was put off for two weeks on account of the dry weather.
