The LaCygne Weekly Journal Linn County Friday February 3, 1899 H.M. WOODRUFF, who died December 31st, 1898, was 72 years of age. He was born in Farmington, Conn., and in early manhood moved to Ohio where he held a position as railroad conductor for many years. In 1868 he came to Kansas and settled in LaCygne where he has since resided. He leaves two sons and two daughters by former marriages. The present Mrs. Woodruff survives him. Mr. Woodruff was an estimable citizen, and a staunch Kansas pioneer, and in his death LaCygne loses a citizen whose place can never be filled.
