The LaCygne Weekly Journal Linn County Friday May 6, 1898 Pleasant Ridge. Mrs. ORDWAY, of Illinois and her sister, Mrs. HILL, of Washington are visiting relatives in this vicinity. Mrs. HILL is an old acquaintance here and friends are glad to see her again. Henry MILLER bought a valuable buggy of D. STAINBROOK one day last week. This part of the country was visited with a heavy rain storm Sunday morning and the samll stream looked almost like a river. Miss Laura GRIFFITH was the guest of Mrs. Nellie STITES Friday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Allen KENNEDY entertained a number of their young friend Friday evening. Mrs. Kennedy is a charming hostess and all report a very enjoyable time.
