JOHNSON went to Osawatomie to enlist as a volunteer Monday. The little son of Mr. and Mrs. Uria HARE is quite sick with fever. A baby was born to Mr. and Mrs. J. JOHNSON 27th inst. Mother and baby are doing well. We are having too much rain. There will be a great amount of wheat destroyed in this vicinty. It is too bad. Mrs. H.S. and Miss Nettie MAKINSON and Miss Sadie CONOVER of Pleasanton were guests of Mrs. Dr. HUGHES Saturday and Sunday.
