The La Cygne Weekly Journal Linn County Saturday December 31, 1881 Mr. Albert CAMERON, a blind man about 30 years of age, died Monday, near Rockville, Miami county, from poison administered by himself. He claims he have taken strychnine the day previous to his death. He was unable to take care of himself, but had always been provided for by his father. He feared the loss of his mind, and becoming very despondent, concluded to end his life. He left a wife and child.
The La Cygne Weekly Journal Linn County Saturday December 31, 1881 Mr. H.C. MILLER arrived home Thursday from St. Louis, Mo., where he attended the funeral of his daughter, Mrs. Nannie PRICE, who died in that city after a long illness from consumption. The deceased was a sister of Mr. George Miller, and leaves other relatives in La Cygne, all of whom will have the sympathy of the community in their bereavement.

Miss Mamie MILLER has returned from Marshall, Mo., for the purpose of visiting relatives and friends in this city. Mr. T.D. COTTLE, of Centerville township, was in the city on Wednesday. He reports the farmers of his section in an unusually properous condition.
