Hi, folks: If you are going to be near Lincoln in December, you might want to check out the home tour. It will include four houses, the Hap Pagan "mansion" (!) built in 1908, later known as the Bloomheart House, from Beverly; the Zink home, a brick Tudor built in 1945; the Minx home of 1906; and of course the Yohe house, built in 1885 as the Marshall house and featuring the original furnishings from the turn of the century, down to carpets, dishes, etc. Yours truly will be guiding tours on Dec. 16, apparently; the homes are open both Dec. 16 and 17. I also have a soft spot for the Bloomheart House, because it was picked up and moved to Lincoln from Beverly and I rode along with it! Anyway, if you're interested, the dates again are Dec. 16 and 17, 2-5 p.m. Tickets are $8 and for a good cause; the Lincoln Historical Society is in a battle over what to do with the Yohe house, which they own, and it is in danger of being sold. It literally had not been touched inside for about 70 years, so trying to recreate it would be nearly impossible. Anyway, proceeds benefit the group that works on maintaining it. I know most of you are far away from the old hometown, but thought it was worth a try! Tracee
