I wasn't sure if everyone had heard that former presidential press secretary Marlin Fitzwater had written a novel based on a Lincoln County event: specifically, the tarring and feathering of the school teacher in 1911. One of Fitzwater's ancestors was among the group of men who took part in the assault. I have ordered the book but not read it yet.
