    3. Hello Lincoln County researchers.... Thanks to Carolyn Ward, one of the state coordinators of KSGenWeb, we've had a link to a small, colored map of Lincoln County in 1878 for some time (taken from the Kansas State Board of Agric. Report). I'm sorry to say that for a long I've had a larger black and white version of this map in my email attache folder at work! Many moons ago I scanned this map (one of the first and only graphics I've ever scanned) but couldn't put it up on the web page because it was huge (over 700K) and took forver to load. I posted a message to the list about this and some kind soul shrank the map down to a manageable size and then sent it back to me as an attachment in my computer at work..... where I forgot about it! I stumbled across it today, loaded it and put it on the Maps page at Lincoln County KSGenWeb. So if you'd like a good look at Lincoln County in 1878 the URL is: http://skyways.lib.ks.us/genweb/lincoln/1878map.jpg And to the person who shrank this map.... where/who-ever you are.... thanks. Bill
