i would like to say in response to bill sowers post, that some may not know how lucky lincoln county researchers are. the lincoln county website and all of its contents are head & shoulders above the rest. i am very fortunate that several of my ancestors were in lincoln county in the early days, the website, as well as the people associated with it have been invaluable in my neophyte quest in genealogy. at the same time i have worked other lineages on various genweb sites and other state and local sites, and most have little or no content, limited assistance and no search available. everyone who has lincoln county connections and uses the site does not know how truly fortunate they are, until they venture elsewhere.
