Hi once again! Just a note to say I will be going to Lincoln on May 24 for a two-week visit. This is my semi-annual offer to do lookups while I'm there. Here's what I will do: 1. Look up obituaries, provided I have a date of death (no searches for "sometime in 1910). 2. Look up marriages at the courthouse. I can send you dates (easier for me), or I can get copies of the marriage license. FYI: the licenses do NOT have the names of the bride and groom's parents, so there isn't any more real info there than the date anyway. The copies will cost 25 cents. (That's the courthouse's rate, not mine.) 3. Take photos of gravestones at St. Patrick's Cemetery, St. John's Catholic, Prairie Grove and Lincoln City Cemetery. I also am open to any suggestions for information I should try to bring back with me. Someone (Lori, perhaps?) suggested seeing if the courthouse has homestead records, someone else suggested voter registration cards. I'm going to check into both of those and just generally "poke around" and see what else might turn up. Any other ideas, let me know. Please send me your lookup request NO LATER THAN May 20. I make every effort to get everyone's lookups done but I have to add that I may not have time, depending on demand.
