I don't know much about them. I do not have middle initial on John Wells (the son of Mary & John Wells). My thought was mom moves with or near her one or both her sons. Two of Mary's other Scranton sisters die just before 1900, she might move by her sons. Mary j. scranton was married in Cole co. where both there families had settled 1840-1857. Then something happens to Scranton family (think dad dies or goes into Civil war. Then all the girls and mom move to Leavenworth, KS. Moving to Topeka wouldn't suprise me.
