David James, Tynrhos, Parish of Llanfihangel Genau'r Glyn (now Cynnyll Mawr) County of Cardiganshire was born 1801 one of seven children of Thomas and Ann James. Thomas was the son of Richard James ap Morgan 1735-1799. His wife Ann was born in Brynbala, Borth daughter of Thomas Jones 1756-1852 and Margret Hughes 1786-1867. Her sister Ann married Abraham James of Dolybont- Tanner and farmer. I am a descendant of her brother John and his wife Anna Maria James daughter of Enoch Watkin James of Brynllys(who was brother of Abraham) Enoch and Abraham were also grandchildren of Richard James ap Morgan. David and Ann James lives at Brynbala and later at Dolaugwyn and Dolclettwr in the parish of Llancynfelyn before moving to London prior to emigrating. Ann is mentioned in the will of her uncle Evan Hugh of Wileiriog. Both this will and several relating to the Tynrhos family can be found on the National library of Wales web-page that is free of charge.
