Brown, Co, F, 2nd Pennsylvania Cavalry, died May 4, 1912 in Vancouver, Washington at age 79. He was absent on furlough from "A" Barracks when he died. In a 1901 article, it said that Cyrus M. Brown of "A" Barracks and two other "boys" from the home were going to Hot Springs, Arkansas on furlough. There was also listed a Cyrus M. Brown, 2nd Kansas Cavalry in an 1897 article about appearing before the pension board. It did not say whether or not he lived in the home.
